Overview
Revitalizing Touch Wellness Spa is an established local massage therapy business grounded in holistic health and healing. The practice emphasizes personalized care, incorporating wellness principles into every service. I initially collaborated with the owner years earlier on her project Happy Home and Farm, a community-focused initiative for individuals with developmental disabilities, which reflected her dedication to creating spaces that foster compassion, healing and healthy living.
When she launched RT Wellness Spa, she sought a professional, clean, and inviting website that accurately reflected her premium services and holistic philosophy. The initial site, built by her receptionist on a basic platform, failed to convey the quality and professionalism of her practice.
Website Strategy and Goals
The goal was to redesign the website to reflect the premium nature of the business while remaining approachable for clients seeking wellness and holistic care. I implemented a modern, minimalist aesthetic with a muted purple and green color palette to compliment her existing logo, clean typography, and premium stock photography. The website needed to support multiple services, a team of practitioners, and client engagement features, while remaining flexible for the practice’s evolution, including downsizing post-COVID and transitioning to a new location.
Website Features
The site included:
Homepage showcasing services
Massage and spa service pages (later streamlined to core offerings)
About page and philosophy
Dedicated doTERRA product page
Contact page and policies
Gift certificate purchase functionality
Newsletter signup and scheduling integration
As the business evolved, I continued to provide ongoing support, helping implement updates, refine the user experience, and incorporate new features such as seasonal specials.
Collaboration and Transition
The business owner trusted my creative expertise and granted full design control, while providing thoughtful feedback during each iteration. This trust allowed me to deliver a polished, cohesive site that accurately reflected her vision and values. Recently, when she chose to retire, I supported the new owner through the transition, ensuring a seamless handoff of the website and preserving continuity for clients. This long-term involvement demonstrates my commitment to both design excellence and client relationships.
Early Partnership
Happy Home and Farm, Rochester Michigan
I first partnered with Andrea in 2015 to design a website for Happy Home and Farm, her vision for a therapeutic home and working farm for adults with developmental disabilities. My services included designing a website to promote her fundraising campaigns and live events, along with providing ongoing site maintenance and updates. My partnership with her went beyond design; I actively supported her mission by attending in-person fundraising and live events. This experience forged a lasting professional relationship between she and I that would continue years later.
